Matthew has worked as a financial journalist since 1995, first covering the accountancy industry in Hong Kong and moving on to cover structured finance and investment banking. He lived in Hong Kong for 14 years, moving back to London in 2007. He was editor of IFR Asia before taking over as editor of IFR in 2007. Since 2013 he has been the head of the IFR/Capital Markets Group at Thomson Reuters, overseeing IFR magazine, IFR Markets, LPC and Project Finance International.
