FIG WRAP: BP Vicenza raises extra €100m after exchange offer
Banco Popolare de Vicenza added this morning some €100m of new money to two tranches of senior notes already created through an exchange offer that closed Tuesday. The Italian bank exchanged seven series of senior notes maturing between 2012 and 2017 for new notes with two and three year maturities. The leads Banca IMI, JP Morgan, Mediobanca, RBS, and UBS added €25m to the €110m 5.75% notes due Feb 2014 and €75m to the €475m 6.75% notes due in Feb 2015.Anthony Wicks, head of ALM and funding at Banca Popolare di Vicenza, had indicated last week that the bank may issue additional notes to other investors at the same price as the new notes to raise further financing for general corporate purposes.
