Jean Dessain - Fortis
Jean is General Manager Capital & Funding at Fortis, an international leader in the fields of Banking and Insurance. He is responsible for the capital-raising activities and the coordination of capital relief and funding of the group, as well as optimising portfolios and capital consumption across businesses and maintaining relationships with rating agencies and debt investors.

David Soanes - UBS
David is Managing Director, Head of IBD FIG EMEA and member of the IBD EMEA Executive Committee and Head of Fixed Income FIG DCM & Structured Sales. He joined UBS (SBC) in 1991 and was a member of the DCM Group until 2005. In 2000, he was appointed Head of DCM FIG, Europe and in 2004 his responsibilities expanded to include all investment-grade business.

Sean Richardson - RBS
Sean is Director, Hybrid Capital Structuring. He joined RBS in January 2007, and since then he has worked on a number of transactions including Legal & General’s debut £600m innovative Tier 1, which achieved Moody’s Basked D by the use of a replacement capital covenant rather than mandatory deferral, and RBS’ sixtranche Tier 1 financing relating to the acquisition of ABN AMRO.

Jennifer Moreland - Morgan Stanley
Jennifer is a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley and Global Head of the Capital Products Group. Jennifer joined Morgan Stanley in 2003; previously, she spent eight years in the New York and London offices of Salomon/Citigroup, also specialising in the structuring of hybrids.

Steve Sahara - Calyon
Steve is Managing Director, Global Head of Hybrid Capital Structuring at Calyon, the corporate and investment bank of the Crédit Agricole Group. Steve embarked on his investment banking career in 1991 at Merrill Lynch and has worked in a senior role managing the global hybrid capital for leading firms such as Morgan Stanley, Lehman Brothers and ABN AMRO bank.

Alvaro Camara - Merrill Lynch
Alvaro is a Director in the Capital Markets & Financing Team - Financial institutions based in London and heads the Capital Products Structuring team where he is responsible for the structuring, execution and origination of capital securities for financial institutions, insurance companies and asset managers.

Laurent Frings - Scottish Widows
Investment Partnership Laurent is head of credit research in the global bonds and economics team, and covers the banking sector. He joined SWIP from Morley Fund Management, where he worked as a credit analyst for more than five years. Latterly, he was responsible for credit research in the financial institutions and semi-supra government sectors.

Raphael Robelin - Bluebay Asset Management
Raphael is a Senior Portfolio Manager and joined BlueBay in 2003 from Invesco where he was head of European investment-grade credit. Prior to that, he was a portfolio manager with BNP Group and Saudi International Bank. Raphael holds a degree in Engineering (IT) and Applied Mathematics from EFREI.
