IFR Awards dinner collects £1.1m for Save the Children

Firms contributed more than £1.1m for Save the Children in the annual charity auction at the IFR Awards dinner in London on Wednesday.

IFR’s Bank of the Year for 2014 Morgan Stanley led the charge, topping the traditional charity tombstone as Bookrunner with a £630,000 donation.

Save the Children Ambassador Myleen Klass conducted the auction alongside TV presenter Jonny Gould.

Princess Anne, who has served as president of Save the Children since 1970, presented the IFR Bank of the Year Award to Morgan Stanley International CEO Colm Kelleher, with IFR Editor Matthew Davies and IFR Editor-at-large Keith Mullin looking on.

Comedian Marcus Brigstocke served as master of ceremonies at the event in London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
