GEN NAKAHARA

Bank of America Merrill Lynch

Gen Nakahara is Managing Director and Head of Capital Markets at Merrill Lynch Japan. He joined Merrill Lynch Japan in 1999 from the-then Bank of Tokyo and Tokyo-Mitsubishi Securities, Mr Nakahara has held several senior positions in Merrill’s debt capital market business, where he has led various DCM deals across various market segments.

Hidenobu Shirota

Daiwa Securities

Hidenobu Shirota is Head of Debt Capital Markets at Daiwa Securities. Since joining Daiwa in 1987, Mr Shirota has arranged various deals both domestically and internationally to expand the firm’s DCM franchise. He was stationed in London for years in 2001 as Joint Head of Debt Syndication. He has also experienced many senior DCM positions in the Daiwa group.

Hiroaki Hayashi

Fukokushinrai Life Insurance

An almost 20-year veteran in securities investment, Hiroaki Hayashi currently works as General Manager, Investment Department, at Fukokushinrai Life Insurance Co and oversees all aspects of asset management activities including debt and equity investment. Prior to that, he was in charge of investing in wide range of products at Fukoku Life.

Katsumasa Suzuki

Mori Hamada & Matsumoto

Katsumasa Suzuki is a partner with law firm Mori Hamada & Matsumoto and an expert primarily in the areas of corporate and securities, including capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and corporate governance. He was recommended as a leading lawyer of Capital Markets by Chambers Global, The Best Lawyers International, Legal 500 and other media.

Kazuhide Tanaka

Rabobank

Kaz Tanaka is Director and Head of Long Term Funding – Japan at Rabobank, responsible for all funding activities in Japan. The focus is on Samurai, Uridashi and private placements. Additionally, the role involves assisting with the debt investor relations effort, as well as carrying out the regulatory disclosure requirements in Japan.

Masanori Azuma

Nomura Securities

Masanori Azuma is Managing Director of Nomura Securities’ Capital Markets Department. Mr Azuma has been engaged in bond underwriting and primary bond syndication for many years. In recent years, his responsibilities have expanded to include FIG subordinated debt and overall supervision of the capital market business.

Mitsuhiro Yoshida

Daiwa Next Bank

Mitsuhiro Yoshida is Executive Director at Daiwa Next Bank, which he joined in October, 2011. He joined Daiwa Securities in 1987. During his career in the debt capital markets, including stints in London and Singapore, he has traded foreign and domestic public/corporate bonds and Samurais. He also played a key role in dealing with structured bonds and derivatives.

Tetsutaro Muraki

Tokyo AIM

Tetsutaro Muraki has been President and CEO of TOKYO AIM since 2009. Mr Muraki started his career in investment banking at Swiss Bank Corporation.

He joined the World Bank Group in 1996. Before joining TSE, he was Managing Director of the Industrial Revitalization Corporation of Japan, and was appointed CFO of Kanebo Cosmetics.

Katsuyuki Tokushima

NLI Research Institute

Katsuyuki Tokushima is Chief Investment Advisor of the Financial Research Group and Chief Pension Consultant of the Pension Research Center at NLI Research Institute. Mr Tokushima has more than 20 year experience in such areas as asset allocation, fixed-income investment, asset-backed securities investment and risk management.
