Doug Howland - JP Morgan
Doug Howland heads Capital Markets at JP Morgan, having joined the firm in 2007. Prior to that, he worked at Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, and Morgan Stanley. He has worked in investment banking for 25 years, primarily in Equity Capital Markets. He has been based in Tokyo for the past seven years.
Mr Howland has prior experience working on transactions from the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

Masao Ito - Tokyo Stock Exchange
Masao Ito is a manager of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, in charge of improving its listing system. He is also a lawyer at Nagashima Ohno & Tsunematsu, a leading law firm in Japan, and has chiefly advised on laws and regulations in the Japanese financial market. Until 1997, he worked as a CPA for Showa Ota & Co (currently Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC) and carried out auditing and IPO services. Mr Ito is also a CPA admitted in the state of Illinois.

Takeo Kusunose - Bank of America Merrill Lynch
Takeo Kusunose is head of Capital Markets at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He joined Merrill Lynch Japan in 1995 as a head of Equity Capital Markets. After 2002, he joined the investment banking unit as a head of corporate origination. Since 2007, he has been responsible for capital markets activities. Mr Kusunose started his career in Capital Markets at Nomura Securities.

Yoshifumi Otsuka - Daiwa Capital Markets
Yoshifumi Otsuka is head of Equity Syndicate at Daiwa Capital Markets, the investment banking arm of the Daiwa Securities Group. He joined Daiwa in 1988, and has been engaged in global ECM ever since. He was head of Capital Markets at Daiwa Securities Bank (Switzerland) in 1995, head of ECM at Daiwa Securities SMBC Europe (now Daiwa Capital Markets Europe) in 2002, and head of the Capital Solutions department in 2007. He has been in his current position since 2008.

Minoru Shinohara - Nomura Securities
Minoru Shinohara is Senior Managing Director of Nomura Securities looking after Investing Banking. Mr. Shinohara joined Nomura in 1985, and has spent over 18 years in Nomura’s global investment banking operation. After the Lehman Transaction in 2008, he looked after Nomura’s Asia operation and became CEO of Asia, ex-Japan. Before that he was in Tokyo heading Capital Markets and Capital Solutions. Between 2003 and 2008, Mr. Shinohara was Head of Asia Investment Banking based in Hong Kong. During the 90s, he headed European Equity Capital Markets and Syndicate, spending over six years in London.
