Accounting and consulting firm EY has hired former England rugby player Josh Lewsey as head of people advisory services in its financial services office for Asia-Pacific, based in Hong Kong.

Lewsey has previously worked for PwC as a management consultant and Citigroup as a trader. He was most recently head of rugby at the Welsh Rugby Union, helping it restructure and improve management and development of the sport.

Lewsey is a former British Army officer who won the Rugby World Cup with England in 2003 and was capped 55 times for England and three times for the British and Irish Lions.

EY said on Wednesday Lewsey, 40, will build teams specifically focused on providing change management assistance in the financial services front office for clients based in Hong Kong, Greater China, Singapore and Oceania.
