UBS could charge rivals for cutback benefits
(Reuters Breakingviews) - Shareholders in UBS seem to think that the retreat from fixed income trading will increase the Swiss bank’s profitability. That belief may eventually prove correct. Right now, though, UBS’s competitors are the main beneficiaries. They are getting something for nothing.
