Credit Suisse has hired Kinner Lakhani, previously head of European research and advisory at Deutsche Bank, to head strategy and development at the Swiss bank.
Credit Suisse said on Wednesday Lakhani will be based in Zurich and report to chief executive Tidjane Thiam.
It marks another high profile departure from Deutsche Bank, where Lakhani headed European research and was also head of European financials research. He was one of the top rated analysts covering wealth and asset management, investment banking and the broader banking industry.
Lakhani joined Deutsche from Citigroup in 2015, where he spent 10 years, including as co-head of its European banks research team. He previously worked at ABN Amro and Morgan Stanley.
Lakhani has also served on the European Central Bank’s macro-prudential policies and financial stability contact group, a group that discusses issues related to euro area stability and macro-prudential policy.
