Wells Fargo collects top award at IFR Awards 2025 dinner

The IFR Awards Gala Dinner took place on March 9 at Grosvenor House, London.

The trophy for Bank of the Year was presented by Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal to Fernando Rivas, chief executive of corporate and investment banking at Wells Fargo.

Her Royal Highness attended in her role as patron of Save the Children and gave a speech on the work of the charity. The traditional tombstone auction raised £845,000 from attending companies and IFR, including £500,000 from Wells Fargo. Personal donations totalled over £20,000.

The money goes into Save the Children's flexible funds that allow the charity to respond immediately to crises around the world.

The following day Wells Fargo celebrated the win by hosting the market close ceremony at the London Stock Exchange, owned by IFR's parent company LSEG.
