Javier Carballo
Credit Agricole CIB
Javier Carballo has over 20 years of credit and fixed-income experience. He was appointed head of debt capital markets for South-East Asia & India at Credit Agricole CIB in 2022 after a four-year stint leading the Hong Kong DCM team.
He joined Credit Agricole CIB in New York in 2009, where he was part of the team responsible for growing the bank’s Americas DCM franchise working on both IG and HY names. Carballo began his career in 2000 in the leverage finance division of JP Morgan in New York, and then worked for Lyon Capital Management as a vice president and senior investment analyst in 2006.
Hafiz Hussin
DBS Bank
Hafiz Hussin is a sustainable finance professional with over a decade of experience crafting impactful financing solutions across the Asia Pacific region. Currently, he serves as senior vice president within DBS Bank's Sustainable Finance team, where he structures sustainable finance solutions for corporate clients across diverse industries.
Hussin leads sustainable finance engagement for food & agriculture (F&A) and technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) sectors globally and is also responsible for the bank’s sustainable finance franchise in Indonesia.
Prior to joining DBS, Hussin was a pioneer member of SMBC’s regional sustainable finance team in APAC.
Melissa Cheok
Sustainable Fitch
Melissa Cheok is an associate director of ESG investment research at Sustainable Fitch, the ESG ratings and research division of Fitch Group. Based in Singapore, Cheok spearheads cross-sector thematic research on the labelled debt market and transition finance, with a specialised focus on Asia and emerging economies. Her expertise extends to analysing sustainable finance policy developments and assessing their impact on sustainable financing solutions and investment strategies.
Before joining Fitch, Cheok was a financial reporter at Bloomberg, where she closely covered foreign exchange and fixed-income markets.
Daniel Stanton

Daniel Stanton is editor of IFR Asia and is based in Singapore. He has been with IFR Asia since 2009, during which time he has held roles including Asia bond editor and Asia equities editor.
