Gary Lau
Moody’s
Gary Lau is the managing director for the corporate finance group in Hong Kong. He manages analytical teams in Hong Kong, covering corporate ratings in North Asia (ex-Japan). He has been with Moody’s since 1998 and has held analytical and management positions with responsibilities across different industries and geographies.
Before joining Moody’s, Lau worked for Barclays Bank and Bank of America in the financial institutions and corporate banking divisions.
He holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Social Science, both from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Monica Hsiao
Triada Capital
Monica Hsiao is founder and chief investment officer of Triada Capital, a Pan-Asia credit multi-strategy manager based in Hong Kong focused on event-driven and fundamental credit investments in Asia. She brings with her over 25 years of work experience including over 20 years as a credit portfolio manager in London and Hong Kong and five years as a lawyer in New York specialising in mergers & acquisitions and private equity deals.
Hsiao was last at London-based hedge fund CQS, where she was the head of credit in the Hong Kong office managing Asia credit portfolio, having set up this business for CQS from inception.
Julian Lee Pui-hang
Airport Authority Hong Kong
Lee is executive director, finance at the Airport Authority Hong Kong (AAHK), which he joined in July 2020. Before that he held senior management positions in corporate finance and investment banking at Merrill Lynch (Asia Pacific), Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) and Everbright Sun Hung Kai.
Lee is a director of Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport and director of Hong Kong-Zhuhai Airport Management Company. He is also a member of the listing committee of the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong. Lee holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Eugene Ng
HSBC
Eugene Ng is managing director and head of Greater China debt capital markets at HSBC. With a strong focus on debt capital markets and innovative credit solutions, Ng has driven significant bond issuances for issuers across the Greater China region.
Since joining HSBC in 2008, Ng has successfully led a multitude of transactions throughout the Asia Pacific region. His expertise includes the structuring and execution of vanilla and hybrid transactions in G3 and Asian local currencies.
Ng holds degrees from Imperial College and Oxford University.
Morgan Davis
IFR Asia (Moderator)
Morgan Davis is IFR Asia’s bond editor, based in Hong Kong. She started at IFR Asia in October 2021, after previously covering financial markets for GlobalCapital, Asiamoney, NexChange and FundFire in Hong Kong and New York.
IFR Asia has a team of reporters and editors in Hong Kong, Singapore, Tokyo, Beijing, Melbourne and Mumbai, covering onshore and offshore capital markets transactions across Asia Pacific.
