Prasanna Balachander
ICICI Bank
Prasanna Balachander is group head of global markets sales, trading and research at ICICI Bank. He is responsible for economic research, trading, market-making and sales/distribution of all treasury products relating to fixed income, foreign exchange and derivatives. He is also the chairman of ICICI Securities Primary Dealership (I-SEC PD). He has contributed to various committees formed by RBI, Sebi and FIMMDA for the development of new products in India.
He is currently the vice chair of FIMMDA (Fixed Income Money Market and Derivatives Association of India), additional vice chair of FEDAI & director of CCIL (Clearing Corporation of India).

Lakshmi Iyer
Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Co
Lakshmi Iyer is CIO of fixed income and head of products at Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Co, where she manages fixed income funds and develops a variety of products and offerings. She has over 24 years of work experience, of which 22 years are with Kotak AMC. Prior to joining Kotak, Iyer worked as a research analyst at Credence Analytics.
Lakshmi holds an MBA in Finance from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies in Mumbai.

Seshagiri Rao
JSW Steel
Seshagiri Rao is the joint managing director and group CFO for JSW Steel. He has over three decades of experience in the steel sector, corporate finance, and banking. He joined JSW steel in 1997 as CFO, since when he has played an active role in the growth strategies of the group.
Seshagiri is a member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India and a licentiate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He is also a certified associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers and a Diploma holder in Business Finance by Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India.

Karthik Srinivasan

Karthik Srinivasan is group head financial sector ratings at ICRA. He has spent nearly 21 years of his career with ICRA. Prior to that he was a deputy manager in the treasury team at The Bombay Dyeing & Manufacturing Company.
Karthik holds a BE degree in Electronics Engineering from K J Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai University and has completed a Masters in Management Studies (Finance) from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai University. He holds a CFA charter awarded by CFA Institute, USA.

Abhishek Tyagi
Moody’s Investors Service
Abhishek Tyagi is a senior credit officer in Moody’s Project & Infrastructure Finance team. Based in Singapore, Abhishek is responsible for project finance and infrastructure credits, including power and gas utilities and ports in India and South-East Asia.
Prior to joining Moody’s, Abhishek worked for eight years as an equity analyst with CLSA in Mumbai, covering Indian utilities and infrastructure companies. Previous positions include investment analyst at B&K Securities in Mumbai and supply chain analyst with Tata Steel in Jamshedpur.
He holds an MBA from the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar and a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee.

Krishna Merchant

Krishna Merchant has been Asia credit correspondent at IFR Asia since May 2016 where she covers the credit markets of India, Indonesia and the Philippines. Before joining IFR, she covered the banking sector and equity markets for Mark to Market at the financial daily, Mint. She has worked as a senior correspondent at Business Standard and as a producer for market hour shows at Bloomberg TV.
