Apollo Global Management has hired Dhaval Patel to join the firm as a deputy portfolio manager for CLOs in London.
Patel, who is due to start at the firm later this year, had been at Oaktree Capital Management for almost 10 years, according to his LinkedIn profile. Before that, he had worked in the leveraged finance and financial sponsors team at BNP Paribas, working on the origination of leveraged loans and high-yield bonds for financial sponsors, and at Lloyds in the workout and restructuring group, focusing on managing debt investments in private equity-backed companies.
At Apollo, Patel will report to Bhavin Patel, a partner in credit and Apollo's senior trader in London, sourcing assets for all of Apollo’s European CLOs since their inception in 2011.
