MOVES - Piper Sandler hires 3 ex-CS bankers for new Zurich office

US investment bank Piper Sandler has hired three former Credit Suisse investment bankers to lead a new office in Zurich.

Alex Molloy, Vincenzo Pescuma and Luigi Colazzo will manage the sales and distribution of Piper Sandler's US equity research and trading products to Swiss clients. As part of a European expansion, the firm has now hired six people that previously worked at Credit Suisse for sales and trading in Zurich, Paris, London and New York.

Molloy worked for Credit Suisse in two spells in London and Zurich, according to his profile on LinkedIn. He was at the Swiss bank from 2004 until 2015 and then another six years until October 2023. Pescuma worked at Credit Suisse in Zurich for almost 21 years, his LinkedIn profile showed. Colazzo joined Piper Sandler in New York last year after 27 years at Credit Suisse and five years at UBS, his profile showed.
